The Catalyst V8e produces extremely durable labels using its lasers to etch away an intermediate layer under the top protective layer:
Produce labels for tough applications such as aerospace and solar panel labels, serial tags for outdoor power equipment, warning labels, instruction panels, and other industrial labels that must withstand rough environmental conditions for many years and remain legible.
Unlike other laser labelling systems the Catalyst V8e eliminates smoke and fumes so does not need costly extraction systems or specially trained operators. The laser diodes use optical fibres to produce images on Schreiner® Colour Laser Film (CLF) which is durable and pre-laminated for maximum protection against environmental degradation.
The Catalyst V8e greatly simplifies the process of producing on-demand durable labels. Thermal transfer labels need laminating after printing and then the used ribbons need to be disposed of. They also carry a negative image of all printed labels which can be a security issue.
Unlike other warranties, this 3-year cover provides a replacement, refurbished model, saving the hassle and time shipping the unit to Germany for repair.
